I wanted to share my experience with Chantix. I tried it twice, in 2007. Both times I started having nightmares about one week into taking the medication. But they weren't normal nightmares. They were excruciatingly painful experiences that were so lifelike I would wake up from them with my heart pounding, anxiety-ridden, and the terror from them would remain with me the rest of the day. I had to stop because the dreams were so disturbing. The dreams were as if my subconscious was unearthing all my deepest and darkest fears and unleashing them in the earliest hours of the morning, to punish me for all the years of nicotine abuse. I've experienced depression before, but nothing compares to the horror of living night terrors unimagined.

Chantix should be taken off the market.
